Barclay (25) and Thomas (22) went to SPS, George (18) is graduating from Taft this May. JP is involved with the local Habitat for Humanity chapter as well as many horticultural organizations. We are working hard on our farm north of Charleston to restore the land to its "pre-colonial" status. We have several endangered species which we are attempting to preserve. I've become very interested in the Low Country environment and in particular the "flatwoods." We are trying to restore the native bobwhite quail habitat which has given me an education in forestry and biology. I founded Carolina Quail last year to spread the word on quail restoration. Charleston is a wonderful place to live except it's impossible to do everything that interests you. I'm playing a fair amount of golf at Yeamans Hall in case any of you pass through town looking for a game. I took a year off after moving south, but failed retirement in short order. Am now involved with several small businesses including Code Corp in Salt Lake which makes a small portable barcode reader. Code has a good shot at being the reader of choice in the medical field wherein the FDA has mandated that all hospitals use barcodes to identify and track everything from patients to medicines. I find myself on too many nonprofit boards, but pleased to be able to give back. Giving too much thought these days to "time remaining." I had a melanoma scare a few years ago. The experience put a lot of things in perspective. Sorry to miss Anniversary Weekend, but Taft graduation (God willing) calls.
