We have three children: Rebecca will be married in August to a fine young man from Chicago; Adrienne is in graduate school at U of San Diego, studying to become a Nurse Practitioner; Ted will be a junior at Northwestern. I am an automobile dealer in Carlsbad, Ca. ( Denny, I didn't know you had moved here from L.A.) My brother and I have seven dealerships, which is convenient for indulging my appetite in sports cars. (I'm currently driving an NSX-- underappreciated but suits me to a "t".) I am still fascinated by the challenges in acquiring, building and managing businesses. My primary outside interests are church and physical fitness. I have taught the Bible to adults for most of the past 30 years, occasionally speak in local churches (usually on faith/marketplace issues), and try to serve on other non-profit boards when asked. As for sports, I've continued to workout almost everyday since acquiring the habit at Stanford. My favorites are open-water swimming, cycling and weight-lifting. (For my 30th anniversary my wife gave me a private 1 hour ride in Aspen with Lance Armstrong!) I feel blessed and am grateful for the life I've had since SPS, and look forward to the next 35 years. I still correspond at Christmas with Bud Blake, and listen to Richard Lederer's program, "A Way With Words," on the local PBS station.
